For the first time the JO Games has two athletes competing from Alaska. Eagle River Porties F 17-18 Reilly Hall, Eagle River, AK in 200m dash (13.50),400m dash (1:01.00) and M 17-18 Jeremiah Wilson, Eagle River, AK in 100m dash (11.20), 200m dash (22.90), and 400m dash (53.00).

For the first time the JO Games also has three athletes competing from Hawaii. Menehune Track Club from Ewa Beach, Hawaii.  12 Years Old Tamia Hooks 100 (14.81), 200 (30.95) and 8 and Under Solomon Hooks III 100 (18.80) and 200 (40.37). Also, Grace Blanchette, Running Renegades TC in the 17-18 Women’s heptathlon (3254) from Honolulu, Hawaii.

Rheinhardt Harrison, Ponte Vedra, FL wins 14 Years Old Boys the 1500m (4:13.03), 3000m (9:07.86) and 800m (1:57.95).  He is only the third athlete to complete the 800m, 1500m and 3000m triple in the same year. The other two are Brandon Miller, O Fallon, MO – 2013 in the 11 years old Boys 800 meters (2:11.98), 1500 meters (4:37.24), and 3000 meters (10:14.11). Reese Vannerson, Sugar Land - 2017 in the 12 years old boys 3000m (9:58.69), 1500m (4:34.20) and 800m (2:11.29).

Peyton Rollins, Medford, MA wins the 14 Years Old Girls 100m Hurdles (14.44) and 200m Hurdles (26.95). She was the 2017 winner in the 100m Hurdles (14.73).

11 year old boy Jonathan Simms, Plano, TX is a three time 800 meter champion.  In 2017, Jonathan Simms, Plano, TX won 10 Years Old Boys 800 Meters in record time (2:16.44). He also holds the 9 Years old Boys 800 Meter record (2:19.43).

 

Cha'Iel Johnson, Miami Gardens, FL repents as 800 meter Champion. She wins the 13 Years Old Girls 800m (2:13.81) and she won both the 12 Years Old Girls 1500m (4:43.83) and 800m (2:13.72) in 2017.

 

Grant Reynolds, Conyers, GA wins the 9 Years Old Boys 800m (2:21.32).  He repeats as champion. He won the 8 and under boys 800m in 2017 with a time of 2:30.16.

Carlie Weiser, Giddings, TX wins 13 Years Old Girls Shot Put (50-2.5) National Record. She repeats as champion.  She won the 12 Years Old Girls Shot Put in 2017 with a mark of 43-8.

Sidney Reagor, California, KY wins 17-18 Years Old Women’s 2000m Steeplechase (7:41.72).  She repeats as champion.  She won the 17-18 Years Old 2000m Steeplechase in 2017 with a time of 7:43.30.

Darrion Rascoe, Philadelphia, PA wins 13 Years Old boys Discus (163-4) and Javelin (151-11). This is a repeat of his 2017 victories in the 12 Years old Boys Discus (125-3) and Javelin (141-0).

15-16 years old boy Brandon Miller of O Fallon, MO breaks a 38 year old 1500 Meters record (3:58.10) held by Jim Jennings of Crystal City, MO in 1980 his time was (3:59.2h).  Brandon Miller of O Fallon, MO broke 15-16 Years Old Boys 1500 Meters (3:58.10). Brandon Miller of O Fallon, MO broke 14 Years Old Boys 1500 Meters (4:02.09).  It is his 7th national title, but more impressive, it is his 6th national record in the 1500.  He has won the 1500 every year he has competed in it.  2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017.  In 6 of the7 years he holds the national record. The only year he did not break the 1500 meter records was his first 1500 meters at 9 years old in 2011 which he won with a time of 4:58.95.

 

11 years old girl Abigail Quinn of Sharpsburg, GA wins her third consecutive 1500m racewalk in a time of 7:58.98.  She won the 10 years old girls 1500m racewalk (8:19.51) and the 9 years old girls 1500m racewalk (8:08.02). Her 9 years old 1500m racewalk win was a national record.

12 years old girl Reese Gentry of Northridge, CA wins her third consecutive 1500m racewalk in a time of 7:18.46.  She won the 11 years old girls 1500m racewalk (7:19.29) and the 10 years old girls 1500m racewalk (7:46.29). Her 10 years old girl 1500m racewalk win was a national record.

12 years old boy Keegan Smith of Kingston, TN wins his second consecutive 3000m (9:57.48).  He was the 11 years old 3000m champion (9:59.36).

13 years old boy Reese Vannerson of Sugar Land, TX wins the 1500m (4:18.71).  He was the 2017 3000m 12 years old Champion in the 3000m (9:58.69).  He was a triple winner in 2017 in the 12 years old boys 3000m (9:58.69), 1500m (4:34.20) and 800m (2:11.29).

14 years old girl Micah Trusty of Philadelphia, PA wins the 1500m (4:40.08).  She was the 2017 1500m 13 years old Champion in the 1500m (4:48.57).

15-16 years old girl Athing Mu of Trenton, NJ wins the 1500m (4:38.78). She was a double winner in 2017 in the 15-16 years old girls 800m (2:07.99) and 1500m (4:33.04).
