Anna Jensen , Midland, MI wins the 13 Years Old Girls 3000 Meters (10:05.03).  She breaks an 8 year old record held by USATF 800 meter star Ajee Wilson from Neptune, NJ.

Nicole Carroll, Land O Lake, FL competed in 17-18 Years Old Girls Pole Vault placing 3rd with a vault of 11-5.75. She also competed in the Gymnastics on Thursday winning with an all-around score of 35.075. Vault (8.800), Uneven Parallel Bars (8.000), Balance Beam (9.275), Floor Routine (9.000).  She was also awarded the AAU High School Scholarship Award Grand Prize.  She will receive a $10,000 scholarship to the college or university of her choice.  

Alina Laforest, Chester, PA wins 11 years old girls 800 meters (2:19.87) and 1500 meters (4:56.07).  She dominated the field winning the 800 meters by 9 seconds and the 1500 meters by 12 seconds.

 

Carson Dingler, Bolingbroke, GA breaks her own record from 2014 in15-16 Years Old Girls Pole Vault (12-10).

Bryan Hudson, Williamstown, KY breaks a 15 year old record with his 198-4 throw in the 14 Years Old Boys Discus.   The old record was set in 2000 by Brady Maska, Hayes, KS at 186-2.

Kayla Davis wins the 12 years old girls 400 meters (55.25). This is her second victory in 2 years in the event.  He won the 11 years old girls 400 meters in 2014 (57.07). Her victory last year was a meet record.

Jalen Todd wins the 9 years old boys 400 meters (1:02.56). This is his second victory in 2 years in the event.  He won the 8 and under 400 meters in 2014 (1:08.75).

Kanai Bey-English, Brooklyn, NY breaks a 10 year old record in 9 years old girl 400 Meters (1:02.28).

Sidi Njie, Atlanta, GA wins the 8 and under boys 400 meters (1:04.81).  He broke the 200 meter record in the prelims earlier in the day with a time of 27.80.  He holds records in 8 and under boys 400 meters (1:03.56) and 200 meters (28.34) at the 2015 Club Championships. 

First Person to Register for JO Games:  UNA Chris Webber from Steens, MS was the first person to register  for this year’s JO Games.  He will compete in the 15-16 year old boys 3000 meters.

12 years old boys Willie Washington and Tyler Mapson, Jr. combine for 10 records at the JO Games. Washington holds records in 8 and under boys 100m (13.46), 10 years old boys 100m (12.45), 8 and under boys 200m (27.98), 10 years old boys 200m (24.48), and 11 years old boys 100m (24.69).  Mapson, Jr. holds records in 9 years old boys 100m (12.97), 9 years old boys 200m (26.46), 8 and under boys 400m (1:03.44), 9 years old boys 400m (1:00.04), and 10 years old boys 400m (58.91).

Ashton Allen, Odenton, MD wins 13 years old boys high jump with a record jump of 6-00.75.  He also holds the 9 years old boys Triathlon (897) that he set in 2011.  

Caleb Roberson, Mira Loma, CA wins 14 years old Boys 200 meter Hurdles (24.08) and Long Jump (21-9). He was also a double winner in 2014 winning the 13 years old Long Jump (20-2.75) and 200 m Hurdles (24.62). The 200 meters hurdles is a 2014 meet record.

 

Haeley Alvarez, Fort Meade, MD wins 10 year old girls 1500m racewalk in a time of 8:45.88.  She won the 9 year old 1500m racewalk last year with a time of 9:56.42.

 

Glenie Cross, Detroit, MI while running the Pentathlon 11 year old boys 80 meter hurdles runs 12.43.  His time would have been a national meet record if it were in the open 80 meter hurdles (12.48).  He breaks a 12 year old 80 meter hurdle record in the final of the open hurdle race (12.47). 
 

Camila Vicens, Houston, TX wins the  3000 meter 13 year old racewalk with a record time of 15:33.80.  She also holds the 12 year old girls 1500 Meter racewalk record (7:08.99) set in 2014.  Also, she won the 11 year old girls 1500 meter racewalk in 2013 with a record time of 7:17.80.

Zachary Stadnika, Shelby Township, MI won 17-18 Decathlon (6440) and was named Joel Ferrell Multi Event Award winner.  His point total ranks 10th on the USA High School list.  Also second place finisher, Jerrick Powell (6420) ranks 11th on the USA High School list. An interesting note, Powell no heighted in the Pole vault, received zero points and still finish second in the event by only 20 points.
 

In the 13 years old Boys 800 meters, Brandon Miller of O Fallon, MO breaks record with a time of 1:58.61 in the prelims.  He breaks his own 800 meter record in the final (1:56.41).  It is his fifth record in 5 years in the 800. He wins the 13 years old boys 1500 meter record with a record time of 4:13.45. It is his fourth record in 4 years in the 1500. He broke the 10 years old 1500 meter record in Houston with a time of 4:49.53, he broke the 11 years old 1500 meter record in Detroit with a time of 4:37.24, and the 12 years old 1500 meter record of 4:22.84.  Also, he was a triple winner in 2013, with wins in 11 years old Boys 800 meters (2:11.98), 1500 meters (4:37.24), and 3000 meters (10:14.11). Brandon Miller now owns the 13 years old 800 meters record (1:58.61), 12 years old 800 meters record (2:03.09). He was also a double winner in 2014 He won the 12 years old Boys 800 meters (2:03.09), and 1500 meters (4:22.34). Both 2014 meet records.  

Tamari Davis, Clermont, FL wins 12 Years Old Girls 100 Meter with a time of 12.03 in the prelims. She also breaks her 100 meter record in the semi-finals with a time of 11.92.  She also holds the 8 and under 100 meter record (14.07) and 9 years old 200 meter record (27.75).

Did you know?

Rising USATF 800 meter star Ajee Wilson from Neptune, NJ got her start running the 800,1500 and 3000 at the J.O. Games in 2005. She was a National Champion in 2006 in 800 (2:17.72), 1500 (4:50.34) and 3000 (10:57.28), 2007 in 3000 (10:13.41) National Record, 2009 in 800 (2:07.08) National Record which she still holds.  Since her AAU days she has been very successful:
